Some
of the more recent issues for now dealing with Windows Vista
Each link should open
in New Window, just use your browser`s back button.
A: Lose
your file association for your cd/dvd drive in Windows Vista?
Try the following link and apply the registry fix for audiocd.

B: If you
constantly get "Prepare blank disc" and Windows Vista tries to format all your
CD's, DVD's, or CD-ROM's ( Burned or Stamped Commercial Disk ) then this might solve your
problem if you have installed VMware. (care of pcgeek11, Dell forum)
By default, VMware disables autorun upon installation due to possible conflicts with some
drives. Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSET\Services\CDRom
Look for the "Autorun" key. If its value is set to "0", set it to
"1" and reboot.
